Trattoria Il Contadino in Metropolitan City of Florence

"During my stay in Florence, this got to be my most authentic local feel Italian restaurant. When we arrived, the place was packed with locals. We are nervous at first. A lovely young lady was able to talk a little bit of English. After reviewing the menu, they offer a set menu for 15 or 20euro. I take the 20euro, which included two entree side dishes and wine. The two entrees i got were pasta with truffle and grill pork chop and grill vegetables. The house red wine comes in a craft equal to two glasses, maybe more. Both my main dishes are good portion and very well prepared. For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu. It was also a hit. This is my must visit restaurant in Florence."

"Best food that we've had in Italy. I had beef stew and veggies. My husband had Paccheri with gorgonzola and zucchini. Both of our meals were outstanding! The gorgonzola was perfection, not the borderline spoiled type you find all over the states. I would eat here again in a heart beat! This place deserves 5 stars."
